Cluster of red lights hovering at low altitude without sound during great northeast blackoutDuring the northeast blackout I was outside looking toward the westsoutwest and observed a cluster of red lights slowly moving eastward and before coming abreast of my location, Cornfield Point, they went into a hover mode.
Estimated distance to lights was 500± yards and approximately 30° elevation.
There was no sound and no definitive shape other than a cluster of lights. They hovered for approximately 2 minutes, then abruptly ascended up and out of sight in the blink of an eye.
