Star was Moving from East to the West

Date: June 13, 1973

Location: Wisconsin

This star was moving from the east to the west at a fast, steady speed. My neighbor and I saw it and commented that it looked like it was headed for the second star in the handle of the Big Dipper.

We kept watching. The star did collide with the second star in the handle of the Big Dipper.

When it did, there was like an explosion, it got really bright.

Then it seemed that the little star that collided with the Big Dipper was towing the star in the handle of the Big Dipper straight up.

We watched it for a long while and then it stopped. To this day, if you look closely, you will see a small star just above the second star in the handle of the Big Dipper.

We looked for confirmation of the sighting int he newspaper, but we never found out what it is. If anyone has any information, I would sure appreciate it.
