Buena Vista Sighting
I live in Urban Colorado and decided in April to go to rough it out in the mountains.I took a drive to a small camping sight in Colorado called Buena Vista. I was only going to spend 2 nights there and decided to set camp next to the pond which was roughly 75' to 100' away.
I set up camp for the first night and fell asleep. I was woke up to bright red lights at 1:03 a.m.
I unzipped my tent and peeked outside to discover a red disk hovering over the pond. It was roughly 30' in diameter and 17' high.
It appeared to be observing the water turning and moving throughout the pond. I watched it for a few minutes and then it shot back up into the sky.
I laid back down shaken and fell asleep thinking I was dreaming. The next morning I woke up with these awful burns on my exposed parts of my body. I thought I got too much sun yesterday and brushed it off.
I walked over to the pond and was shocked to find 7 or 8 dead fish. I thought it was natural but I took a closer look to discover that they had been burned.
My heart began to beat and I just walked away and hiked for the rest of the day.
Later that night at 11:09 p.m., I awoke to the same red lights again and looked out my tent to see the same object over the pond. I watched for another 1 or 2 minutes and this time it shot to the East.
I was shaking an fell asleep. I woke up got in my car and noticed my burns had blistered. I drove away as fast as I could and never came back.
